but the other will have to wait. We are moving. Not far, only around the corner really, but I don’t think it really matters the distance, you still need to get all your stuff out of one house and get it into the next. I am hoping that by mid march I will be settled and organized.
So, about this cute blankie. Its for a sweet little guy I am hoping to meet someday.

I love, love how it turned out. Organized with just the right amount of wonkyness. As it was coming together I was thinking that the front was going to be too busy, but I think I was wrong. I pieced a simple back for this one too. This took a couple of tries. I started out with a back like this one or this one, but it just didn’t seem to feel right so I made the square bigger and I am now much happier with it. I also love the fact that there are no prints in it, only solids. If your wondering I used Kona Cotton Cadet, Daffodil, Orange, and Periwinkle. More pics here.

just came across this quilt on flikr- it is brilliant. the colour combo is great.
I LOVE this. The random orderedness, the colors, the quilting. What a beautiful piece. The yellow binding truly “makes” it.
[...] and see that quilt. April made it. I miss you, [...]
