While my mom was here for a couple of days, we got to work working on a gnome messenger bag for her. I can’t blame her for wanting one too. The second time around I understood the pattern better so that was easier, but for some reason we had to rip seams again and again. I blame it mostly on the stretchy nature of the corduroy, but I imagine our sewing capabilities came into play as well. This bag took all day to make. We paused here and there but were either cutting, sewing, ironing, or ripping all afternoon, evening and then late into the night. I bet we sewed the bag twice. The good news is that all our hard work paid off. The bag turned out great.
