Yes. It’s hibiscus. I’m originally from Chile and in the northern part these grow all over, like trees so beautiful! It seems like I remember seeing mostly pink ones. This one is PERFECT! and great picture too! what a color, so intense.
Now I’m in Portland (Oregon) and miss seeing some of these brightly colored flowers. But we do have some other types that can fill your heart too!
Yep, hibiscus it is. They were everywhere in Brazil, and I loved them. I’d never seen them before that in real life, but since moving to Ohio, I’ve seen several varieties. Most are annuals here, though, unless you shelter them during the winter.
This flower is an hibiscus flower if I am not mistaken. We have many growing around here but this red type is the most common. It is nice to finally have you back on line ! I am looking forward to more pictures from Turkey, hope you are adapting well.
I love your pictures! It seems like you are able to get out and explore. That’s so cool! What is the weather like? Is the humidity killing you? It’s raining here…… already. So it begins. We miss you, we were just talking about the time we went into Seattle with you guys and went to the Pacific Science Center. Hope all is well there. Is school going ok? Have you made any new friends?
