It is amazing what a good night sleep can do for a mama’s attitude. I have been wanting to take this blog to a new level and make it more personal, after all I am more than happy moments with my family and fun crafts. I have real struggles and concerns just like everyone else. So here’s to letting you in on more of the real me.
This week its been frustrations with my husband being gone, a really messy and unorganized house due to the fact that I had to do all the unpacking of all our boxes all by myself(did i put in enough alls), and the transitioning of my children into public school. The good has been: a closer relationship with my Heavenly Father and I’ve stopped being so independant and reached out to some neighbors and friends.
Now for some crafts.
I squeezed in a little time this past week. Well really I stole some but it was well worth it. I finally got to have a go at one of the projects swimming in my head.
These are those small 3×5 and 4×6 spiral notebooks. The cover is removable so if you fill the notebook you can just get another one to replace it for less than a dollar. I want to make a bigger version of these with nicer notebooks but these little guys were great for figuring out what pattern I wanted to use. I went through a few tutorial I googled but wasn’t happy with the results. I ended up combining a few and am now happy with them.
Thisbe belongs to a Keepers of the Home group (its pretty much a religious Girl Scouts) and the girls are going to learn how to sew them this week.
