Last night, sometime after 11:30 I was up folding and preparing some of my birthday gifts to be wrapped. Well, I notice that the bottom edge of the last library tote I posted about needed a bit of ironing. Lets just say, at about the same time I left the cold iron, plugged in to warm up, face down on the said corner, I had the grand idea to do some laundry. What the heck was I thinking? Let the iron warm up face down on the fabric?? I must have been tired because I told myself that I had enough time to go upstairs, get a load of darks, and comeback before the iron was heated up, so it would totally be okay to leave the tote in such a vulnerable position. Well, I might have got back in time but I got distracted and completely forgot about the iron until I was folding the lights in the living room. Needless to say, that tote, the cute one with the red dot lining, will not be in my give-away.
I do have some good news, however. In my late night delusional state I thought that if I quickly wash the said tote I may be able to save it. Well, there is still a stain in the bottom corner, not even close to as bad as it was, but the good news is that the tote is completely washable/dryable. It came out of the dryer beautifully. All it needed was a quick iron and it would be good as new.
Well, I was one tote down, so this morning I picked out some lining and made preparations to make two totes today instead of one.
I hope you like ’em.
These are my final gifts for this year’s give-away. Again, I will be closing comments for posts in April tomorrow at noon. Good luck ladies.
